The Pakistan contingent was stranded in Mauritius where they participated in a four-nation tournament. On Monday they got their passports from the Indian high commission in Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius.

The travel itinerary was not clear but a source said the contingent would take the first flight out of Mauritius. In the original itinerary, they were supposed to reach Bangalore on Sunday from Mauritius via Mumbai.

They are scheduled to play India on Wednesday, Kuwait on June 24 and Nepal on June 27.

“We are aware of the development. We are hoping they will be landing in Bangalore on Tuesday. We are expecting a full house on Wednesday,” a senior Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) said.

Pakistan had applied for visa very late as they waited for the green light from the interior ministry. Their football federation blamed the national sports board for the delay.
