Mohun Bagan Super Giant and Emami East Bengal will face off in a Group A match of the Durand Cup on August 12 at the Salt Lake Stadium. Like last year, this will be the season’s first Derby.

The Durand Cup organisers released the fixtures on Sunday.

Mohun Bagan begin their campaign on August 3 — the first day of the tournament — when they take on Bangladesh Army. East Bengal play their first match against the armymen from Bangladesh on August 6 while Mohammedan Sporting face Mumbai City FC a day earlier.

Defending champions Bengaluru FC will take on Indian Air Force in their opening match on August 14. There are six groups of four teams each and Groups A, B and C will be based in Calcutta. Guwahati will host Group D and E. Kokrajhar will host Group G matches.

Guwahati and Kokrajhar will also have a quarter-final each, while the Salt Lake Stadium will host the remaining knockout games.

The final is slated for September 3.
