The draft constitution of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) prepared by the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators has said the executive committee should have 12 members out of which five would be former eminent footballers, men and women. The president, treasurer and five members from each zone will be the other seven members.

If the draft constitution is accepted by the member associations in its entirety then it would also see the end of the vice-president’s post. These are some of the radical changes the CoA wants to bring to the AIFF ecosystem. The draft also mentions that the general body of the federation will have former players from the states. The criteria are they should be below 66 years, played at least five matches for India and retired from active football at least two years ago. The draft was sent to Fifa, the world governing body, and the member associations on Wednesday. The draft will be sent to the Supreme Court on Thursday and filed on Friday.
