India opener Rohit Sharma has donated Rs 80 lakh to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has donated Rs 3 lakh to the central and Haryana state relief funds while paddler Ayhika Mukherjee gave Rs 20,000 to the Bengal chief minister’s relief fund.

Ajax end Nouri contract

Ajax Amsterdam have cancelled the contract of Abdel hak Nouri, who suffered permanent brain damage after a heart attack playing for the Dutch club in a pre-season friendly in mid-2017. Ajax continued to pay his salary but have now formally cancelled the contract.
