So? So? Right. So there’s nothing. No, nothing. What did you expect? Nothing. Right. So nothing. That’s it. That’s it. Nothing, if you may. Or more of the same.

We had hoped. But what’s new? We had always hoped. We are still hoping. We will hope in future too. When you come asking again, we shall still be hoping. Nothing new.

We were hopeless. But what’s new? We were always hopeless. We are still hopeless. We shall remain hopeless. When you come asking again, we shall still be hopeless. Nothing new.

You get the drift. We are where nothing happens. Or if it happens it happens as a repeat of things so many times over that it does not matter if anything happens or not.

Something very wrong happened to us sometime. Something wrong never stopped happening to us. Something wrong is still happening. Which is the same as nothing is happening. Because we cannot feel the wrong thing happening anymore, it has been happening so long.

We were heckled and we were abused and we were asked to be dismissed, vanish. That has not stopped happening. All of those things are still happening to us. And we have not let ourselves be dismissed. And we have not vanished. Nothing is happening, it is just that the same thing is happening.

We were told things will improve. (Which meant things were not all that good, but that they never told us. Never. How could they, being who they were?) But things actually got worse. We are still being told things will improve. But things are actually getting worse. As always. The same thing is happening, which is, please understand naa, the same thing as nothing happening.

We were told everyone is one and the same and everybody is equal and the rest of it. But it turned out that we were not as equal as the equal ones. We are still not as equal as the equal ones but we are still being told everybody is one and the same and everyone is equal and the rest of it.

We were told we had a choice; we could even stay. Or go. We are still being told we have a choice. We can stay. Or go. But where should we go? And you know what staying is like. So it is not much of a choice, just like forever.

So please don’t ask questions.

Please don’t “So?” and expect to trigger a conversation. We are where nothing happens, even when we are being told all the time that something is happening. If anything is happening it is the same damn old and rotten thing. So don’t come here and go “So?”
