There are a few films that remain forever favourite, and going back to them from time to time brings back special memories from childhood. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is one such film that reminds us how we used to set off on playful and imaginary adventures, following the footsteps of the Pevensie children — Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy.
Narrating a tale on the backdrop of World War II, an air ride (blitz) makes the Pevensie children move from London to their country home. During a hide and seek game, Lucy discovers a wardrobe that’s the gateway to a magical world of Narnia. The tale continues with several twists and turns, meeting Aslan and the White Witch, a nail-biting battle and much more.
The film was directed by Andrew Adamson and was the first instalment of The Chronicles of Narnia series. While at it, don’t forget to binge watch Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader to complete the series.
If you are planning to flip through the pages too, find the whole set here.
You can also watch the 2005 release on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, YouTube and Google Play.
