One of the most used herbs in Bengali cuisine is dhonepata — our favourite coriander leaves. Add them to dal, maacher jhol (fish curry), torkari (mixed vegetable) or chutney — coriander leaves can change the very look and taste of many dishes.
If you don’t have a patch of land for a small garden, you can totally grow a perennial supply of coriander leaves on window sills, following the DIY steps of the Instagram handles @indoorplants_decor.
All you need is a few empty plastic bottles and some coriander leaves with roots. Once the process has been followed, give the plants some time, air and sunlight, and voila, you have a new addition to your home herb garden in no time!
