Foodka’s Dhaka vlog is giving us major FOMO. Food vlogger Indrajit Lahiri along with actor and funnyman Mir Afsar Ali — i.e. Foodka — recently shared some glimpses from their Bangladesh tour. Needless to say, this food retreat had everything — from Mawa Ghat Ilish to a taste of Dhaka’s cultural heritage. Explore their stops and plan your Dhaka vacation with the Foodka-approved roadmap.

Dhaka awaits…

Ah, the mandatory pre-departure snap. Mir’s yay moment at the Kolkata airport even got some love from Swastika Mukherjee!

Hello from B’desh!

Mir’s first Instagram from his Bangladesh itinerary feared a beautiful gallery wall that paid homage to the celebrated statesman Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

P.S.- Don’t miss out on the Foodka merch Mir is sporting. You can find the tees here.

Food, Foodka, Foodie

This is probably what we’d do too if we had a steaming platter of authentic Bangladeshi cuisine in front of us. #Relatable

What a spread

How many dishes can you name from this yummilicious reel?

Fishy affair

Crispy fried Mawaghat Ilish, anyone?

‘Padma Nadir Majhi’

Mir’s Padma Nadir Majhi reel is gorgeous.

Soaking in heritage

Old Dhaka’s Beauty Boarding is a former Zamindar’s residence that eventually became the office of the newspaper Shonar Bangla before partition in 1947. The heritage building eventually came to be known as a literary and cultural hub.

The boarding house has hosted some of the most prolific names in literature, from Shahid Qadri and Nirmalendu Goon to Syed Shamsul Huq and Shamsur Rahman.

Just passing through

This looks very similar to our daily commutes, TBH.
