If you drive out of the city of Udaipur and towards the Ekling ji temple, you’ll come across a village known as the Raya village. Nestled within the curves of a dozen hills near this village is Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya Udaipur, a luxury resort from ITC Hotels that boasts of the promise of ‘Memories Available’ at Mementos Udaipur.
Spread over a whopping 47 acres, the property has cluster villas with around 117 keys. Each villa is neatly tucked into one segment of the hillock, and there are plenty of views to gaze at. With five different F&B options, and multiple banqueting and event venues ranging from vast lawns, to hidden gardens and forests and high-end banquets, the hotel is a great choice for weddings and events as well. Indian design elements and royal living are at the core of the hotel’s look and feel philosophy, be it the floors and lights at the restaurants, or the glass and woodwork magic in the rooms.

2. Royal Vega: This luxe vegetarian restaurant is known not just for its fare from the royal kitchens of India, but also for its beautiful silverware, India-inspired decor and an overall royal feel. Meals here depend on seasonality, and with the change in seasons the menu takes a whole new turn.
3. Villas are distributed across categories such as the Lake View Villa, Valley View Villa, Celebration Villas, Presidential Villas, Aravalli Suites, Mementos Suites, Premium Villa and Grand Presidential Villas. For our stay, we were put up in one of the Mementos Suites right at the top of the hill, with our own private temperature-controlled plunge pool and a stunning view of the valley, where every sunrise was a beautiful resonance of the plethora of bird calls from around the region. Two bedrooms, a living room, poolside patio and kitchenette make this suite a perfect escape for small families.
4. Aravali Lounge: This tea and coffee lounge is a great place to grab a cuppa while overlooking the hillocks. Checkered marble flooring and floral upholstery with pops of teal here and there add to the vibe of the space. The space also has a bar where Indian motifs are showcased beautifully, and The Rock Bar with its unique and intricately done ceiling is no different. A fountain in the centre is an eye-grabber.
5. Some of the other major amenities that work in favour of this hotel’s positioning as a MICE property are the lush banqueting lawns, with sprawling indoor banquets — multiple meeting rooms, a magical forest, poolside lawns and a garden lawn.
The Udaipur Stateroom is the main banquet that spells splendour in each nook and corner. The aesthetics combine royal motifs with a plush and modern twist.
