Last Sunday, residents of CE Block planted about 30 trees along the 3ft wide stretch of soil between the pavement and the wall of a local power substation.
“Last year, too, we had planted 75 trees between the pavement and the fencing of our playground and the puja ground. We also help maintain the trees planted by NKDA inside the ground,” said Alok Das, secretary of the New Town CE Block Cultural Association.
