Yup, you read that right!
Catch a glimpse of Jagger with the Swagger as the Rolling Stones frontman is all set to touch down in Kolkata.
The singer-songwriter is expected to arrive between Friday evening (November 10) and Saturday morning (November 11), ahead of the match between Pakistan and England at Eden Gardens.
He will check into ITC Royal Bengal on the EM Bypass for the duration of his stay in Kolkata.
The 80-year-old rockstar is not going to perform but sources say he will be at the stadium watching the match. Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood – the surviving core of the 61-year-old band - released their new album Hackney Diamonds, the first in 18 years, last month in London.
Jagger was spotted a few days ago in Jodhpur’s Rajmata Krishna Kumari School. He is believed to be visiting India for the annual roots music festival Jodhpur RIFF (Rajasthan International Folk Festival) at the Mehrangarh Fort. Jagger is an international patron for the festival.
His other Indian connection? His son James married an Indian girl and an artist, Anoushka Sharma, in 2016, though the couple parted ways two years later.
