If you search Bhavna Jasra on Instagram you will notice a few things — her profile picture with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, a bio that reads ‘chief artist @ First Impression (curating hand and feet casting)’ and a profile where she shares pictures with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bipasha Basu, Hardik Pandya to name a few. Why? She is the one who crafted 3D impressions of hands and feet for these people — either of their babies or couples holding hands (read that of Ranveer and Deepika).

On a whirlwind trip to Calcutta, the life-casting artist shared her experiences with a bunch of successful women in Calcutta at a fun high-tea session at Taj Bengal. Snapshots from the do.

Bhavna Jasra with Nilanjana Chakraborty, moderator of the session. “I have been to Calcutta many times for work. I feel when you are in a creative field it is important to be surrounded by creative energy because inspiration and energy refuel your body when you need to churn new things. Calcutta has the best singers, poets, writers... mostly any creative field. I think it is one of the main cities in India that has retained its pace, and every time I come here, I have refuelled my creative energy,” said Bhavna.
