It’s going great. Exciting but little hectic. Outdoor shoot means early call time. That’s the tough part but other than that we are having a lot of fun. Mostly this schedule is almost done without any hassle. All went smooth.

Where are you shooting now?

We were shooting in Chalsa and then in Kalimpong. Few portions were shot in the enchanting Dooars surrounded by different wildlife sanctuaries.

Tell us about your character?

My character name is Tina, a confident, young girl who has a lot to prove to the world. She’s smart and very practical and quite technically sound.

What made you say ‘yes’ to the film?

I liked the story. It’s fun. A good director along with good cast and production was a major reason of saying ‘yes’.

How would you explain the title of the film?

Hirakgarer Hire is basically titled this way because the story depicts an adventurous journey of searching for a diamond. It’s a romantic comedy. In such tough times, I think such a story will lighten up people’s mood. That’s very important. The entire family can watch it together and enjoy it.

How is it like working with Soham, Bonny, Koushani?

It’s an amazing experience. I’ve worked with Sohamda earlier and it’s always so wonderful sharing screen with such a good actor. This is the first time I’m paired opposite Bonny. He is quite a spontaneous actor and a good friend. Koushani is a very dear friend and it’s fun working with her.

This will be your second work with Sayantan Ghosal...

Yes. He is so sweet and cooperative as a director. Sayantanda is so sorted. He exactly knows what he wants from his actors and has his vision clear.

What are you doing there on off days?!

It’s a tight schedule of nearly two weeks. I’ve got off here for hardly a day or two. I went to explore the jungles.... Chapramari, Lataguri and nearby tourist spots. A bison suddenly crossed our path. We spotted elephants too. Altogether it was a thrilling jungle experience.
