The next day he was remanded in police custody for 10 days.

“There has not been any stumble and we have not missed a beat in carrying out our normal activities. We are focusing on our goal to give the best to the students,” said a senior South Point official.

The Class X and Class XII CBSE board examinations will start on February 15.

Over 800 students in Class X and 600-odd students in Class XII will appear in the board exams from South Point this year.

The school has been conducting the board practicals as scheduled.

“The school has ensured that students are not impacted in any way,” said a school official.

The Class XII students were handed their admit cards on Saturday and the Class X students will be given theirs next week.

“Teachers are helping the board examinees with their preparations. The revision classes are over,” a teacher said. “The board examinees are being prepared with reinforcement and remedial classes, which are conducted online.”

South Point will celebrate Saraswati Puja on the junior school campus.

The school will conduct the internal exams as scheduled. Across schools, this is the time for the end-term exams as the new session starts in April.

At South Point, the annual exams are scheduled to be held in about a week’s time.

The school official said notices regarding the final exams and distribution of admit cards are being sent to parents.

“We are continuing with all our activities,” said a school official.

On Saturday, photography and nature club students went to the botanical garden in Shibpur.

The training for staff members who are part of the emergency response team was also conducted last week.
