The Eastern Amateur Tour Championship, the 14th and final leg of the Indian Golf Union (IGU) Eastern India Amateur Feeder Tour 2022, was held at Tollygunge Club between December 7 and 8. M. Rohind Singh of Kolkata won the title in his first tournament, defeating the rest of the top amateurs. In two rounds, Singh shot seven over par 147, finishing seven shots better than Kolkata's Rahul Batra, who shot 14 over par 154.

Abhishek Mitra of Hyderabad, who shot 16 over par 156 over two rounds, outperformed the golfers in his category. Kolkata’s S.K. Rafick, on the other hand, shot 157, just one shot worse than Mitra's 156. Rafick eventually came in second place.

Ashit Luthra of Kolkata won both the Super Senior and Senior categories after shooting 160 over two rounds of golf. Kuo Thai Chiang of Kolkata finished second in the Senior category after shooting 168. Subroto Kundu finished second among the Super Seniors after shooting 175 in two rounds.

It was the final tournament of the IGU Eastern India Amateur Feeder Tour this season, so the top six Order of Merit winners in the amateur category for the entire year qualified for the IGU's Gentlemen Amateur Tour, which is the main amateur golf tour in India.

The top six players were Tapash Sardar (285), Sanu Das (244), Samridh Sen (227), Suveer Kapoor (216), Garv Lakhmani (214) and Joysurjo Dey (198). This was the first time that six golfers from Kolkata qualified for the main tour.

The top Order of Merit players from other categories were — Abhishek Mitra (360) in Mid-Amateur (35 years and above), Ashit Luthra (306 & 350) in Senior (50 years and above) as well as Super Senior (60 years and above) and Adreeja Ghosh (195) in Ladies.

Gaurav Bajaj, chairman of Technical, Rules and Amateur Status, IGU; Anil Bhargava, member of Governing Council, IGU; and Dipak Burma, vice-president, the Bengal Golf Association, gave away the prizes to the winners.

IGU Eastern India Amateur Feeder Tour 2022 was sponsored by Medica (the principal sponsor), The Reliable Group, Equipped and Wow! Momo. The outdoor media partner was Balaji Ads. The tournament was managed by Protouch Sports.
