Kolkata Traffic Police have posted a list of programmes that might affect the city traffic on Wednesday (22.2.2023).
- 2pm: Meeting at Bhupesh Bhawan, 164B, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road
**From 1pm onwards, a procession will move from the front of the Bhupesh Bhawan. Which may avail Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road and Moulali crossing may proceed to Sealdah flyover and after taking a U-turn it may return to their place of origin (Bhupesh Bhawan)
Cable TV impasse
The channels of at least three broadcasters remained off air for hundreds of thousands of cable television subscribers for the fourth consecutive day on Tuesday. The channels were taken off air by Sony, Disney Star and Zee after a section of multi-system operators refused to implement a revised tariff structure notified by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
A petition in this regard, filed by a section of cable operators in Bengal, was supposed to have been heard at Calcutta High Court on Tuesday. But because of a “cease-work” in the court called by a section of state government employees, the case was not heard during the day. The case is supposed to be heard on Wednesday.
