Railway meeting

A meeting on the “speedy execution of the re-development of Bandel station” was held at the Fairlie Place headquarters of Eastern Railway on Tuesday. Sufficient user-friendly signage, separate foot overbridges for arrivals and departures and a multi-level car parking zone are some of the proposed amenities for the station, one of the busiest junctions of the Howrah division.

Arun Arora, general manager, Eastern Railway, and senior railway officials were present at the meeting, where a Delhi-based architect gave a presentation. “The observations and suggestions by the consultant organisation will be sent to the Railway Board for their appraisal,” said an official.
