Metro disrupted
Metro Railway services were disrupted for over 30 minutes on Tuesday after a man jumped in front of a train at Park Street station. The incident happened around 12.05pm, said a Metro official. "The man jumped in front of a New Garia-bound train. He was injured but alive. A power block had to be taken before the man was lifted from the tracks and sent to hospital," said the official. The carrier ran a truncated service after the incident. Full services resumed around 12.40pm, the official said.
