Bike hits bus
A biker was injured in a collision with a private bus on EM Bypass near Panchannagram around 3am on Monday. Suroj Roy, 21, was treated and discharged from hospital. Roy was not wearing a helmet, police said.
Fatal fall
A plumber who was repairing a pipe died after falling from a scaffolding at a residential building on Nimtala Ghat Street on Monday. Chandra Mohan Das, 32, a resident of Jharkhand, suffered head injuries and was declared dead at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, police said.
