Baby care
Kolkata Municipal Corporation has decided to build baby care rooms in each of the 144 wards of the city. The civic body wants to build at least 40 of them in the 2023-24 financial year.
The rooms will have toilets and areas for bathing for women, said Swapan Samaddar, a mayoral council member of the civic body.
Ramazan
The Ramazan month will begin on Friday, Nakhoda Masjid said in a statement on Wednesday. From Thursday, a special evening prayer called Taraveeh will be held at the mosque at 8.30pm for the entire month, a trustee of the mosque said.
