Kolkata Traffic Police have posted a list of programmes that might affect the city traffic on Thursday (1.9.2022).
- 9am: Programme in front of Raja Subodh Mullick Square. After the programme, a procession will towards the main gate of the University of the Calcutta (CU), via – Nirmal Chandra Street and College Street
- 11.30am: A demonstration at 19B, Ballygunge Station Road
- 2pm: Road show from Jorasanko Thakurbari to Red Road
- 3pm: Durand Cup 2022 match at Kishore Bharati Krirangan
- 5pm: Procession from Ramlila Maidan, which may move along CIT Road – Ananda Palit Road and will finally terminate at Park Circus Maidan
Weekend Metro trains
Metro Railway will run additional trains in the north-south corridor on weekends to meet the rush of Puja shoppers, the carrier said on Wednesday. Between September 3 and 25, the carrier will run 282 trains every Saturday, instead of the usual count of 234. On Sundays, there will be 164 trains instead of 130, said an official.
