Pedestrian injured
A 36-year-old pedestrian, Vicky Saha, was injured after a goods vehicle hit him on BB Ganguly Street on Friday. He was treated at a hospital, police said.
Abol Tabol copies
Around 20,000 copies of Sukumar Ray’s Abol Tabol will be distributed among 20,000 children on February 5 on the occasion of 100 years of publication of the collection of rhymes at the International Kolkata Book Fair, officials of the Publishers and Booksellers Guild said. Chief minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate the fair on Monday with Maria Jose Galvez Salvador, director general of books, ministry of culture, Spain, and Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay.
