Water supply line restored
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation on Saturday repaired a failure in a 1,400mm-diameter water supply line under Deshapran Sashmal Road. A large leak, or failure, was detected near Mudiali in the line that supplies potable water to many booster pumping stations in south Kolkata a few days back. A KMC official said water supply, which was stopped in many parts of south Kolkata after 10pm on Sunday to undertake the repairs, will be normal from Sunday morning.
