Celsius dip
The Celsius dipped to 13.2 degrees in Kolkata on Saturday, two notches below normal, as northwesterly winds tightened their grip on the city. The next couple of days are also likely to see a minimum temperature in the range of 13 to 14 degrees Celsius, according to the forecast.
Theft cuffs
Police on Friday night arrested Rakesh Rana in Nandigram, East Midnapore, for his alleged involvement in robbing a Bhowanipore-based businessman of Rs 20 lakh and jewellery with a team of men, posing as CBI officers, earlier this week. Officers said Rana had a key role in planning and executing the operation with nine other colleagues.
