Weekend Metro services

On Saturday, Metro services on the north-south line will start as usual at 6.50am from Dum Dum and Kavi Subhash and at 7am from Dakshineswar, said a Metro official.

For much of last month, a power block needed for the maintenance of the tracks on the elevated corridor between Tollygunge and New Garia had curtailed morning services between Tollygunge and New Garia on Saturday and Sunday. Now, the power block will be taken between Mahanayak Uttam Kumar and Kavi Subhash Metro stations on Sunday. As a result, Metro services will resume at 10am instead of 9am that day, said the official.
