Gusts of wind and showers
Parts of Kolkata received gusts of wind and sporadic showers on Sunday night after a hot and humid day. Occasional thunderstorms are likely in Kolkata till Wednesday, a Met official said on Sunday. “The temperature has been going up after staying on the lower side for much of last week. There is moisture incursion because of a trough of low pressure over Jharkhand. The conditions are ideal for thunderstorms,” said the official.
