East-West Metro footfall
East-West Metro saw 66,000 passengers on Saturday, the maximum so far. The carrier had a surge in footfall over the past few days because of the Kolkata Book Fair, which was being held in Salt Lake’s Central Park. The fair ended on Sunday.
Sealdah was the busiest station on Saturday, recording 24,883 passengers, said an official. Karunamoyee and Sector V witnessed 20,319 and 6,830 passengers, respectively, the official said.
