Trains cancelled

Several trains in the Sealdah suburban section have been cancelled between Saturday night and Sunday night for a power block. The “traffic and power block” is needed for maintenance work on a bridge near Ichhapur station in the Dum Dum-Naihat isection. “The block will be effective from 10pm on Saturday to 9pm on Sunday,” said the spokesperson for Eastern Railway.

On Saturday, three pairs of locals — one each in the Sealdah–Naihati, Sealdah-Ranaghat and Sealdah-Shantipur sections — will remain cancelled. On Sunday, five pairs of Sealdah–Naihati locals, three pairs of Sealdah-Ranaghat locals, four pairs of Sealdah–Kalyani Simanta locals, two pairs of Sealdah–Barrackpore locals and one pair each of Sealdah–Shantipur, Sealdah–Krishnanagar, Sealdah–Gede and Dum Dum–Barrackpore locals will remain cancelled.
