ED quizzes Bengali film actor
The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday questioned actor Bonny Sengupta in connection with its ongoing probe into the money trail in the alleged irregularities in recruitment in government-aided schools. ED officials said they stum-bled upon Sengupta’s name while probing bank transactions of arrested youth Trinamul leader Kuntal Ghosh.
Rabindra Bharati University vice-chancellor
The education department on Thursday appointed Nirmalya Narayan Chakraborty, a professor in the department of philosophy at Rabindra Bharati University, as interim vice-chancellor of the university for three months. He will replace Sabyasachi Basu Raychaudhury.
