The ICSE (Class X) 2022 results will be declared on Sunday at 5pm, the ICSE council has announced. “The results… will be made available on the CAREERS Portal of the CISCE, on the website of the CISCE and through SMS,” said Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
For the computation of ICSE 2022 results, equal weightage has been given to both semester 1 and semester 2 exams, the council has said.
“The marks of semester 1, semester 2 and project (internal assessment) has been added to arrive at the final marks in each of the subjects/papers,” Arathoon said in a release.
For the first time, the council conducted two exams for ICSE and ISC (Class XII) in a year. The 2022 batch appeared for semester 1 in November-December last year and for semester 2 in April-May this year.
“Candidates who were registered and confirmed to appear for ICSE 2022 were required to appear for both, semester 1 and semester 2 exams to qualify for grant of certification for the ICSE 2022. Therefore, the results of candidates who did not appear for either semester 1 or semester 2 exams as a whole, will be marked absent and their results will not be declared,” said the council. Transcripts or results only for semester 2 will not be declared or provided by CISCE, they said.
The ICSE and ISC semester 1 results were declared on February 7.The semester 1 exams had multiple-choice question papers.Candidates on Sunday can access their results by going to the council website www.cisce.org. On the home page, there will be a link for the ICSE results. After choosing the course option, the students need to enter their unique ID, index number, the CAPTCHA and follow instructions.
For receiving the results through SMS, the candidates need to type their unique ID in a new message box and their ICSE seven-digit unique ID and send the message to the number 09248082883.
The council has made provisions for the candi-dates to apply for a recheck of their results through its website. There is also a provision for the heads of schools to apply for a recheck of results through the council website’s careers portal.
The recheck of results is restricted only to the semester 2 exams. The recheck of semester 1 exam papers has been completed, the council said. The recheck module will be activated at 5pm on July 17 and will be available till July 23. The CISCE will put up all digitally-signed copies of the statement of marks and pass certificates on the DigiLocker facility, 24 hours after the publication of results, the council said.
