The Education Committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCC&I) recently took a delegation on a three-day tour to Singapore to build a strong network and seek collaboration in different educational arenas.
Led by Simarpreet Singh, director of JIS Group and co-chairperson of the committee, the delegation stayed in Singapore from August 17 to 19.
The delegation, which comprised five members and one secretariat member from the BCC&I, visited various universities and business schools of Singapore to discuss the possibility of inking MOUs for dual degrees, online joint courses, joint conclaves and conferences.
The other delegates included Sila Singh Ghosh, vice president of corporate relations, JIS Group; Ina Bose, director of HR, corporate communications & industry connect, Sister Nivedita University; Chiranjib Bhattacharya, CEO and director, Wizertech Informatics Pvt Ltd; Arindam Basu, head of the economics department, Delhi Public School Ruby Park; and Swarnali Dhar, assistant director, BCC&I.
The delegates visited SP Jain School of Global Management, James Cook University, Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore Management University, ESSEC Business School and INSEAD Singapore and held meetings for prospective educational collaborations.
