Banglar Gaan Indies, a new initiative from SVF Music, is here to provide a platform for independent musicians with a new sound. With SVF Music Indies, it’s an endeavour to experiment with new kinds of songs and fresh music talents. The journey starts with Debayan Banerjee’s first single Olper Porichoy, whose video is streaming on SVF Music’s YouTube channel. The five-minute video of Arnab and Trisha’s love story played by Mir and Kiran unfolds in this song sung by Debayan Banerjee with lyrics and composition by Niladri Banerjee.

Optimistic about introducing SVF Music Indies to the audience, Mahendra Soni, co-founder and director, SVF, said: “Here we are trying to help the new talents be it as singers, songwriters or music producers to get the exposure and utilise alternative instrumentation. The audience will enjoy the soothing melodies.”

Exhilarated about working with SVF Music again, Debayan Banerjee said: “The good thing, of course, is that the industry hasn’t missed out on an opportunity to promote some really diverse talent, either by backing their audio and video recordings, or by giving them live opportunities. Moments from the video SVF Music always has been extremely supportive and with this new idea of SVF Indies it’ll open doors for many.”

Niladri Banerjee, the composer of the song, said: “It was the best opportunity for me to work with SVF, that too for this new venture, Banglar Gaan Indies. I hope our hard work is appreciated by the listeners.”
