Taylor Swift is officially back in globetrotter mode. The American singer-songwriter just completed the first few stops of her titanic Eras Tour, her first one in almost five years. The tour not only has multiple stops across the globe but will also see Swift perform from her albums Lover, Folklore, Evermore and the latest, Midnights — for which she had been unable to go on tour because of the Covid-19 pandemic — as well as her old songs, many of which she has re-released in the past year. The tour has already proven to be a stunner with many moments that have left fans wowed, from Swift performing the viral TikTok choreography to her song, Bejeweled, to her “swimming” from one part of the stage to another, to her various gorgeous outfit changes. We take a look at some of her best Eras Tour fits till now.
Swift is a seasoned stage performer and the seamless transitions between the eras are a testament to this. For her Fearless era, she opted for this gold custom Roberto Cavalli piece on day one that harks back to her original Fearless tour dress from 2009-10, with shimmering fringes that moved while she did her iconic Fearless twirl!
We were left enchanted with Swift’s performance of her 2010 release of the same name, Enchanted. Dressed in a splendidly shimmering crystal-studded Zuhair Murad ball gown, the blonde singer looked ethereal on stage
The Man, from the album Lover is a fun but hard-hitting song about gender bias and discrimination against women. For its performance, Swift changed into this smart and bedazzled silver Versace suit with matching Louboutin boots.
For her Folklore set, Swift dressed in this flowy Alberta Ferretti gown on day one. The album, which had been released during the pandemic in 2020, was her foray into indie-folk music with haunting and breezy tunes, the vibes of which can be seen embodied in this gown.
With a move to her Evermore set, the sister album of Folklore, Swift dispelled rumours that she had forgotten about the record, that went rampant as the singer had forgotten to “wish” the album on its birthday. For it, she dressed in this cute summery corseted dress by Etro.
The Eras Tour is a celebration of Swift’s decades-spanning career and to finish it all off with her latest releases from her 2022 album, Midnights, she dressed in this custom Oscar De la Renta bodysuit along with a jacket. The shimmering piece is gorgeous and lends a soft yet powerful look.
Many of Swift’s outfits were nods to her previous releases like this outfit from Ashish. She had worn a similar one for her music video for the 2012 song 22 saying “Not a lot going on at the moment.” The difference? During opening night, her T-shirt said “A lot going on at the moment” instead.
