Director Raajhorshee De with producers Akshatt K Pandey and Shilpi at the event.“Ekla cholo re has been politicised a lot. Rabindranath had created this song based on Nityananda’s tune of the kirtan song Hari naam diye jogot matale. The song from the Swadesh parjaay has a socio-political context, too. It is a song of revolution, where Rabindranath talks about a leader, a leader who has to lead alone from the front. But we have reinterpreted it as a love song in a rock format. Every person in any relationship is very lonely and they always carry the burden of it alone no matter how much they stay amidst people. We alone lead our thoughts and subconscious. Even when we are amidst people, we at times feel alone. In this regard, we tell a very different relationship story in the video of the song. It has a Puja feel too, as we shot in the kaash fields of Santiniketan and Bolpur,” said Raajhorshee.
