Anjali Jewellers picks 11 ordinary yet extraordinary women to inspire womenfolk of the city

A total of 11 women from different walks of life — medical, banking, trading, IT and more, emerged as the face of Anjali Jewellers, one of the most sought after fine jewellery brands in Kolkata. While for some it was a ‘celeb moment’, for others it’s ‘a memory that will be etched in their soul forever’. “Anjali Jewellers has always been a jewellery ‘for all’ and through these beautiful ladies we have showcased some beautiful pieces so that everyone can come to our stores and buy jewellery according to their budget and taste... after all Anjali chhara pujo hoena,” says Annargha Uuttiya Chowdhuury, director, Anjali Jewellers Pvt Ltd.

Inspired by khejur pata, this necklace is striking in its detail and will make for an ideal Ashtami look. Kavita Singh teamed it with a red sari and cold-shoulder blouse. “I loved the jewellery as it’s traditional as well as modern and I also like to wear these kinds of jewellery,” says the homemaker.

This diamond set with intricate design is ideal for evening adda. And Tanuja Saha channelled the look effortlessly with a powder blue sari.

Multi-layered necklace or lahari neckpieces as they are known in Bengali, are back in fashion. Team this stunning diamond piece with any sari and step out in style just like Dipanwita Biswas. “I felt like a celebrity that day. In real life too I am very particular about jewellery. I loved the look curated by the team.”

A banker by profession, Srinwanti Das opted for a statement piece that spoke volumes of her style. This tie haar in gold is not heavy at all, making it an all-day jewellery. Just the thing you need for the Puja. Talking about the experience she says, “It was an amazing experience. I loved my look.”

For Poulami Karmakar, a doctor, the shoot was a first step towards her passion of modelling. Wearing a green handloom sari with halter-neck blouse, she says, “I loved my minimalist look. I loved the heavy silver dangler, the cocktail ring and arm band.”

Patti necklace is trending at the moment and it strikes a beautiful balance between traditional and contemporary. You can effortlessly pair it with your silk sari just like Sukalpa Majumder and it will get you ready for pushpanjali. “I am a gold and diamond lover and also have a huge collection of saris, which I love wearing during festive occasions like Durga Puja,” says the IT professional.

Simple yet tasteful in design, this costume jewellery set in kundan is versatile as it fits any any occasion. Piew Manchanda, who is and entrepreneur, and is mainly into Western wear, channelled this elegant look with a soothing turquoise sari.

Thinking of how to ace your sindur khela look? Bandana Verma, a model by profession, shows you how. She styled her gorgeous red-and-white sari with a patti necklace along with a lahari haar. She futher completed the look with a statement ring and the traditional sankha and pola.

Dr Madhubani Phouzder will be celebrating Durga Puja after 12 years in Kolkata and the shoot made the celebration sweeter. She says, “All this while I was away from the city and I am eagerly looking forward to celebrate this festival with my family. The shoot just made my day.” A sari lover, her look included traditional naksha necklace and pasha and a chic moff chain and sankha. She completed the look with pola and gala bhora bala apt for sandhi pujo.

Pinki De Sarkar is an Anjali Jewellers loyalist. She wore this sleek patti necklace with floral motifs along with a silver mala to complete the look. She says, “It feels so good to be a part of the brand you already love. I thank Anjali Jewellers and The Telegraph for this opportunity. “

Anonyaa Bhattacharji, an entrepreneur who loves wearing saris teamed it up with a gorgeous coffee-hued sari with golden border.
