Sohini Sarkar said: “I have known and worked with Anirban (Bhattacharya) for many years as co-actor and, today, when we have worked in a different equation, where I was an actor and he was my director, it was a wholesome feeling. I am happy about not only getting to play such a powerful character as Laili, but also to witness Anirban in a directorial chair for the first time. Mandaar is the kind of project that will stay in people’s minds for long.”
A moment from Mandaar
For Anirban Bhattacharya, it was an unparalleled moment to showcase the trailer of his first directorial venture, Mandaar, in such a grand manner. “I feel grateful to my entire team and Hoichoi for making this day so special. Right now, I am solely cherishing every moment and looking forward to the responses of people towards this passion project of mine.”
Debasish Mondal, while talking about his experience of being in and as Mandaar, said: “What I feel right now is nothing less than a dream. It is an absolute privilege and a matter of honour for me to be marking my debut with something as grand as Mandaar. Overwhelmed will be an understatement for describing what I was feeling when I was offered such a character by Anirban Bhattacharya and Hoichoi. I simply hope that I have done justice to the character, to Mandaar, and the vision Anirban and the team had while curating Mandaar.”
