Weavers Studio pre-summer sale of handloom wear in association with t2 was a treasure trove of handcrafted designs in fabrics and ready-to-wear garments. Buyers flocked to pick up the attractive discounts on offer on summer-appropriate clothing, at the sale that was held between March 22 and 29 at its flagship store in Ballygunge. The collection on display included saris, kurtas, tops, dupattas, scarves and much more. Sari lovers were spoilt for choice as there was a huge variety of saris on show, from the simple yet intricate kantha and the dignified jamdani to the gorgeous baluchari. There was also a wide range of traditional weaves to choose from, in designs that included chic, modern patterns as well as timeless classics. t2 browsed through the showcase of eco-friendly, hand-crafted and handwoven wearables and picked some that you would love to add to your wardrobe this season.

“The journey of Weavers Studio began in December 1993 with a mission ‘to use as many hands as possible’. Covid taught us to slow down, revisit, reinvent, recreate and collaborate. We use hand-spinning, handweaving, hand-dyeing, hand-block printing, and hand-embroideries to enhance hand-finished wearable textiles. We believe in and practise slow fashion to celebrate the unique handcrafted textiles of India and beyond,” said founder-director of Weavers Studio, Darshan Shah.
