There are many things that Netflix’s recent release, Boo, Bitch falls short of (think the chaotic second half) but the endless array of the coolest outfits is definitely not one of them. It is a Y2K fashion parade and neatly incorporates many of the hottest trends of the season. Even as Erika Vu (played by the ever-gorgeous Lana Candor) and Gia (Zoe Colletti) navigate the troubles of high school, death and spiritdom all together, we take a look at some of the best looks that the series has to offer.

Riley and Lea may have been mean but they certainly did it in style. Riley’s black-and-red dress screams classy chic. The white puffed-sleeved shirt with the bow-tie makes the outfit look elegant and dark academic. Lea’s leather jacket and pleated skirt is a high school casual classic and is a staple look for any occasion (remember the Clueless yellow pleat co-ord?)

Gia and Erika’s Winter Wonderland themed party saw plenty of gorgeous outfits but none better than the ones of the hosts. Gia’s denim dungaree has the prettiest floral details and pairs perfectly with the blue tinted shades. The bucket hat elevates the look. A move towards her flashier outfits later, this fit on Erika is minimalist but glam. The feathered trim and sweater paws add a cute touch.

Things start to go downhill, quite literally, after this scene, but we cannot help but heart Gia’s cute sweater top. The purple-orange combination is a Y2K staple but is still elegant and muted. With the winged eyeliner and space buns, this is the perfect casual party look.

Ever since the great revival of Y2K fashion, the swirl-wave pattern has found popularity and we love it on this skirt. The various shades of greens are balanced out by the muted beige, making it a poised outfit for regular wear. Throw in a minimalist accessory like Gia’s friendship necklace, for finishing touches.

Speaking of dark academia, Gia joins the bandwagon in this fit but in keeping it close to her own personal style with the small sewed-on motifs on her white shirt. The patchwork vest is vintage, and minimalist all at once.

This argyle top is a riot of colours and is perfect for the gloomy monsoons. Add brightness to your look but keep it muted with everything by pairing it with a simple pair of jeans like Erika here.
