Ilish calls for a grand celebration and befitting it Babu Culture is hosting Ilish Mahotsav, inviting ilish lovers to savour the monsoon delicacy. Start off with Ilish Cutlet and enjoy boneless hilsa mixed with traditional spices, crumbed and deep fried with a rich mustard dip. There’s also Padma Kudi Bata Ilish, cooked with cashew, onion, milk and lotus seed. The mains include delightful recipes like Lau Patay Ilish Paturi, Bhapa Gandharaj Ilish, Jeera Bata Diye Ilish Begun Jhal and more. There are also Ilish Thalis that start at Rs 999 and include rice, Ilish Bharta, Sona-Moonger Dal, Jhurjhure Aloo Bhaja and Ilish Macher Tel, among others. The festival is on till August 20 and is available at its Gariahat and Sodepur outlets.
