Each time Coldplay has a live gig, it’s simply magical. But how about watching their gig on the big screen? We forgot to mention, LIVE. Coldplay will broadcast their upcoming gig at Buenos Aires’ River Plate Stadium — as part of the Music Of The Spheres World Tour — and you can watch the live broadcast at select INOX multiplexes in Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Indore, Jaipur, Gurugram, Lucknow and Goa.
The band’s performance will have the usual lights, lasers, fireworks, and LED wristbands. The event is going to be helmed by BAFTA-winning film-maker Paul Dugdale.
Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour features a groundbreaking set of sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives, with almost all shows being powered by 100 per cent renewable energy. Bikes and kinetic dance floors also allow fans to help power the gig.
Recently, the group said they were close to cancelling their plans for the ‘Music Of The Spheres’ world tour after facing money issues. “It became financially stressful, which we hadn’t had before. We never really had a big financial crisis. This was the first time where there was a point where we couldn’t do the tour due to all the money stuff,” Chris Martin has told ColdplayXtra.
Fans will be able to enjoy the band perform hits from across their career, including Yellow, The Scientist, Fix You, Viva La Vida and A Sky Full Of Stars.
Alok Tandon, CEO of INOX Leisure Limited, has said in a press statement: “The band has a widespread following in our country, and we have always believed in treating them in a special way; we aim to present them with an unforgettable concert-like experience.”
Live viewing will be held on October 29, 5pm onwards, followed by a repeat screening at 8.30pm. Tickets can be purchased on the INOX app, from its website or directly from INOX counters.
