On February 11, Tollygunge Club transformed into a haven for pet parents, welcoming wagging tails and boop-able noses to its driving range for the Tolly Pet Pal Party.

Over the past two decades, this event has become a favourite for animal lovers around the city. This year, Pawswell Pet Clinic presented awards in several exciting categories like Most Obedient Pet, Pet Parent Lookalike and Most Talented Pet.

The spirit of competition had pet parents going the extra mile in order to make their pet look the best. Arashdeep and Navee Chawla decked their dog, Nike, in two separate outfits. While the first ensemble featured a stylish bandana, the second outfit was a stunning bridal look — complete with roses.

Anil Mukerji, ex-CEO of Tolly Club, is known to harbour a special love for horses. “To me, horses are nature’s most beautiful creations. Not only are they noble, but also forge incredible friendships with humans,” he said.
All eyes were on Ritu Narayan’s Persian cat, Sugar, who bagged the first prize in the ‘Pet Parent Lookalike’ category
Ritu Narayan decked up her Persian cat, Sugar, as an Italian Don Sugaratti for the Lookalike category. The duo had identical houndstooth jackets, caps and aviators. It was no surprise that they emerged winners. “I was overwhelmed with the number of compliments we received. The event was full of warmth, and Sugar felt loved by the entire club,” said Narayan.

CAPE Foundation added to the cuteness with its adorable animals, featuring Heidi the goat, Quack the duck, and Rob the rooster. In addition, the Club showcased its majestic ponies, raised in its own stables. “The Tolly Pet Pal Party is a must-attend event for the city. It was lovely to see the bonding between humans and animals,” said Shane Domingo, the manager-equestrian of the club.
