Sandeep Yadav of Kolkata won the Golftrade Amateur Open, the seventh leg of the Indian Golf Union (IGU) East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour 2023, after shooting eight under par in two rounds of golf at the Tollygunge Club on Friday. The event, held between June 7 and 9, drew 35 amateurs.
Gurmehr Bindra, another Kolkata native, finished second with a score of 142. As usual, Abhishek Mitra finished first among the Mid-Amateurs with a score of 160, followed by Amit Kumar Saraogi. Ashit Luthra, the former president of the IGU, won both the Senior and Super Senior divisions with a score of 169. Jaideep Chitlangia finished second in the Senior Category with 172, and Subroto Kundu finished second in the Super Senior Category.

Anaahat Bindra won the Ladies’ category with a score of 142, while Gourabi Bhowmick finished second with 152. This event was also WAGR ranked, with amateurs earning points for playing three rounds. Sandeep Yadav won the WAGR round with a score of 207, while Gurmehr Bindra came in second with 209. Anaahat Bindra won the Ladies’ category with a score of 218 and Gourabi Bhowmick came in second with a score of 225.
Mayank Jalan, chairman and managing director of Keventer Agro; Deep Banerjee, golf captain of Tolly; Sreyon Chatterjee, golf vice captain of Tolly; Subhojit Nag and Indrajit Bhalotia were present during the prize distribution ceremony to hand over the laurels to the winners.
