Manhar Bajoria comes out on top at the 2023 Tolly Junior Masters

The eighth leg of the IGU East Zone Junior Feeder Tour was hosted by Tollygunge Club

Manhar Bajoria emerged as the victor in the A & B Boys’ category, achieving a score of five over par 145 in two rounds at Tollygunge Club during the 2023 Tolly Junior Masters, the eighth leg of the Indian Golf Union (IGU) East Zone Junior Feeder Tour.

Aditya Khaitan secured the second position with a score of nine over par 149, while Ahaan Gupta finished third with a score of ten over par 150. In the B Boys’ division, Dishaan Ghosh claimed victory with a score of 15 over par 155. Prashant Agarwal secured second place with a score of 16 over par 156, while Arghya Shah finished third with a score of 166 in both rounds.

The C category Boys witnessed a playoff for the championship title as both Aranyak Chakraborty and Hredaan Raj Bihani achieved the same score of 163. However, Hredaan demonstrated greater composure and triumphed in the playoff, thus securing the first position. Aranyak settled for second place in the C Boys’ category. Shivang Jhunjhunwal emerged victorious in the D category Boys with a score of 250.

Moving on to the B category Girls, Mehak Lohan claimed the top spot with a score of 175 in two rounds. Gauri Sharma secured second place with a score of 177, while Priya Kumari finished in third position with a score of 190. Julinka Roy Chowdhury clinched the title in the D Girl’s category with a score of 183. Nahida Parvin (196) and Vaanya Rustagi (211) secured second and third places, respectively.

In the E Girls’ category, which encompassed participants under the age of nine, Amaira Gulati delivered an impressive performance, shooting five over par 73 and emerging as the winner. Aarya Ganguly (89) and Ahana Khaitan (107) secured the second and the third positions, respectively. Ayaan Mimani secured victory in the E Boys’ category with a score of 82. Yugvardhana Singhania (95) and Parikshet More (95) finished in second and third place, respectively, with Yugvardhana ultimately winning due to a better second-round score.

The winners were honoured with prizes presented by Sheetal Khanna from Keventer Agro and Sreyon Chatterjee, vice-captain of Tollygunge Club.

The tournament's education partner was The Champ for Life Academy, the outdoor media partner was Balaji Ads, and the online proshop partner was Golfedge. The event was managed by Protouch Sports.
