Bishwakrit Ghosh prevails at the Amway Nutrilite Junior Tournament

The two-day event saw more than 50 junior golfers battle it out at the Tollygunge Club

The Amway Nutrilite Junior Tournament, held on May 24 and 25 at Tollygunge Club with more than 50 junior golfers across India, was part of the sixth leg of the Indian Golf Union (IGU) East Zone Junior Feeder Tour 2023. Bishwakrit Ghosh of Chittaranjan won the A & B Boys’ combined category with a score of 153. However, despite having the same score as Kolkata's Aditya Khaitan, Aditya lost to Bishwakrit in a playoff and finished second in that category. Armaan Tekriwal finished third in A & B Boys’ category with a score of 165. Bishwakrit also won the category B competition with a score of 153, while Lakshya Agarwal came in second with a score of 167.

Dishan Ghosh finished second in B Boys’ with a score of 172. Mehak Lohan of Kolkata won the A & B Girls’ category with a score of 169, while Chittaranjan's Ananya Roy came in second with a score of 173. Anamika Chakravarthy secured third place in the A & B Girls’ category with a score of 177. Julinka Roychowdhury finished first in the C & D Girls’ category with a score of 167, while Nahida Parvin finished second with a score of 188 and Vaanyaa Rustagi finished third with a score of 204.

Varish Mohta won the title in C Boys’ category with a score of 153, followed by Andrew Baid and Rayan Sao, who finished second and third with scores of 164 and 170. In category D Boys, Arkaprovo Chaudhury won the title with a score of 190, Samarth Agarwal came second with a score of 202, while Hrian Khem came third with a score of 209. In the category E Boys, which is the under-nine junior division, Priansh Dhandhania finished first in the E Boys with a score of 94, Yugvardhan Singhania and Vir Nayar came second and third with scores of 95 and 102. Vaasvi Himatsingka won the E Girls’ competition with a score of 110, while Ahana Khaitan and Novika Kakkar finished second and third with scores of 114 and 137.

The tournament's partners included Amway, Home4U, Callaway, Swiggy and K&A Golf. It was managed by Protouch Sports.
