IIT Kharagpur on Thursday honoured its alumnus Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, with a DSc (honoris causa) and his wife Anjali Pichai with a distinguished alumnus award in San Francisco. IIT-K director V.K. Tewari conferred the honours in the presence of Pichai s parents and daughter Kavya. The award ceremony was attended by alumni of IIT Kharagpur, including Vinod Gupta, Ranbir Gupta and Rintu Banerjee. Sundar is a BTech in metallurgical and materials engineering from IIT Kharagpur.
