Brain Quest 2.0, organised by Birla Institute of Management Technology, in association with t2, saw its eastern regional round being held at The Bhawanipur Education Society College campus, onNovember 25. The cross-campus international quiz witnessed an overwhelming participation from around 50 graduate students from various streams. Quizmaster Krishnendu Banik conducted the quiz in a fun and interactive manner where the audience too could participate and win goodies for correct answers.

The quiz was held in four engaging rounds, starting with X-pand Raise the bar, XL bet big double your points, X-Pertise video, and finally rounding up with X-treme Rapid fire. There were questions pertaining to pop culture, current affairs, technology and business.

Despite the overall tension, the quizzers seemed to enjoy all the rounds. The quiz intensified after a tiebreaker between Krishna Kumar Chowdhury from Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, who ended up winning the eastern round, and Samyak Anand from NIT Jamshedpur, who became the runner-up. The regional rounds in various states will lead up to the finals in January.

We wanted to test the students’ potential with this and after witnessing such an overwhelming response, we hope to host another edition of Brain Quest,” said Asim Kumar Mishra. Samyak enjoyed it at the quiz. “I heard about this quiz from my senior and I decided to participate because I maintain a habit of following current affairs which helps me a great deal with quizzes. The students geared up for a round of questions. “There are not many inter-college quizzes for graduating students in technology and business management in Calcutta, but this quiz got the students of both streams together from the prominent colleges of the city. As a quizmaster, I was satisfied with how the quiz turned out and I hope to do this again,” said quizmaster Krishnendu Banik.
