The absence of a dog park where canine pets can meet up, socialise and exercise, has been a longstanding complaint of Kolkata’s pet lovers. More than 100 dogs played around in the open space near the Ruby crossing and pet parents had a chance to discuss the challenges of keeping pets in Kolkata.

The proceeds from the show will go towards rescued dogs.

The main attraction was the pet fashion show. There were several other events like the adoption camp and registration camp, which made the show a clear hit.

Actress Darshana Banik was the chief guest at the event. “I am glad to be here today, amidst all the happy pets and pet parents,” she said.
