City dancer Avirup Sengupta performs at the Utkal Divas celebrations in UK

Dancer Avirup Sengupta recently performed in London at the Utkal Divas celebrations, which marks the day of formation of the state of Odisha on April 1. The event was organised by the association of people from Odisha in the UK. Touring London for the first time, Avirup shared his experience of performing in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK at the consulate general of India. Along with his student Raina Roy, Avirup showcased a spectacular performance in front of an audience that included the consul general of India. The performance was very well appreciated and admired. The audience was eager to know more about traditional dance forms like Odissi. The dancer also received the prestigious Young Achiever’s Award from the association after his performance. “It was a beautiful experience to perform in London, UK, on Utkal Divas. It was a moment of immense pleasure to receive the prestigious Young Achiever’s performance award," said Avirup.
