At Taj Bengal, we are happy to showcase their art at our Promenade Lounge for a week and promote the efforts,” said Arnab Chatterjee. To add to it, Laily Thompson, founder KultX and The River Festival, said: “The River Festival was started in 2019 to encourage people to visit Calcutta’s ghats. Bringing live art, music and theatre to Champatala Ghat, in partnership with Taj Bengal, demonstrates how Calcutta’s ghats can be the backdrop for a range of cultural activities. Let us reclaim these beautiful heritage places once again. The next River Festival events will be on February 10 and 11 at Nather Bagan Ghat and Prinsep Ghat respectively.”

Taj Bengal joined hands with The River Festival, spearheaded by KultX and Laily Thompson, to celebrate the Hooghly River at the Nather Bagan Ghat in north eastern Calcutta in an endeavour towards sustainability, heritage and awareness of the river that flows through Calcutta.
