Shiladitya Chaudhury and Som Chakraborty’s latest composition, Nouka bilashi, features Rupam Islam and Amyt Datta, taking us back to the days of glam rock. The video to Nouka bilashi was launched on the big screen of Inox Insignia, Quest Mall, directed by Riingo, and was released on Asha Audio.
Nouka bilashi captures a musical journey that delves deep into the human psyche’s interplay of darkness and freedom. It holds a mirror to the shadows within our minds and illusions that need to be broken. The narrative follows the metaphor of the North Star, a symbol of guidance and direction, losing its way amidst flickering, mysterious lights — representing fleeting moments and the transient nature of life. The lyrics have been penned by Soham Majumder, while we see Shiladitya on drums, Amyt Datta on guitar and Bachospati on bass.

“We couldn’t imagine anyone else but Amytda and Rupam for the song. The duo perfectly aced what we had imagined and lived up to our expectations,” said Shiladitya-Som over breakfast with t2 at Chapter 2.
“It took me back to the kind of music that I don’t do anymore, it was extremely fun,” said Amyt Datta.

Riingo said: “I wanted power in the music video, the duo’s charming aura delivered exactly what I had pictured against the backdrop of a dilapidated ship.”

“Working with this team has been a learning experience, it’s like feeding my creative mind,” said Rupam.
